Fun with Crank Pulleys

I understand the time thing. No kids, but work and wife do account for alot of dedication. I made that tool a couple of years ago, before people like moroso were making and selling them. Getting a Honda dealer to get one for me was out of the question. They wouldn't do it. They said "Those are for the techs only, and they're very expensive. Next!" I wasn't happy. The funny thing is that the guy who did that to me came into my store one day, and I happened to have the tool I made here. I almost showed it to him up close!!
If you bought one of the moroso, or even honda, tools, you'll be glad you did. It makes those types of jobs so easy.

Thanks. I called Jegs this morning. They also said 2-3 weeks.

I found a steel strap to try to "bolt the flywheel to the caseing", but after I crawled back under my car, I found that the flywheel cover is not easy to remove. There are two 10mm bolts in ugly places and what looks like a transmission mount needs to be removed as well.

I'll try to get a local metal shop to make me the tool. If I don't have one by the end of the week, I'll order one.

Time for a deep breath and a beer.

The two trans braces are no big deal... then you can take off the remaining 10mm bolts and nuts to remove the shield.

Since I want it to be easy to swap pulleys (8psi and stock injectors might not work well... Winter and my 195mm snow tires are coming, so why abuse the engine... etc, etc..) I'm going for the crank tool. So it's a 45 minute operation.

My brother has a friend who loves to weld, so I just have to find some enormous hex nuts to make the tool.

I want to be 8psi by a 8/20 autocross, but power is not everything. I definitely want to be 8psi for a fall trip to the strip!
